The Grandstream GRP2612 is a powerful and reliable business desk phone. One of its most useful features is call forwarding. Whether you’re stepping out of the office, working remotely, or just need calls to go elsewhere, forwarding ensures you never miss an important conversation. Here’s how to set it up – and how to turn it back off when you return.
Forwarding Calls
- Press the Menu button on your GRP2612 (the round center button).
- Use the arrow keys to navigate to "Call Features" and press OK.
- Select Call Forward and press OK.
- Choose the forwarding type:
- Unconditional Forward – All calls go directly to another number.
- Busy Forward – Calls forward only when your line is busy.
- No Answer Forward – Calls forward only if you don’t pick up.
- Enter the phone number or extension where you want calls forwarded.
- Press Save. Your phone will now forward calls based on your chosen option.
Turning Forwarding Off (Unforwarding)
- Press the Menu button.
- Go to Call Features > Call Forward.
- Select the forwarding type you previously enabled.
- Choose Disable and press OK.
- Press Save. Your calls will now ring directly to your GRP2612 again.
Quick Tips
- An icon will usually appear on your screen if call forwarding is active.
- If you’re unsure whether forwarding is enabled, go back into Call Forward settings to confirm.
- For faster toggling, you can program one of the soft keys or programmable line keys as a call forward button (contact us for setup assistance).
